Do you ever get really excited about a project and then when it’s done you hate it? We ordered these coffee table legs off amazon and I thought I had a vision and that it was gonna be awesome, and then when I finished it and put it in front of the sectional I realized I don’t like the way it looks. It’s also wobbly because the drill kept dying and some screws didn’t make it all the way in but I was impatient and just wanted to bring it inside. Thinking about staining this, or just making a new top all together? Either way I’m happy to have a place to put my beer even if it doesn’t look the way I wanted it to! . . . . . #homedecor #mykindredabode #interiors #livingroom

throwing it back to our cute little living room bar. we love hosting so we always make sure to have the ingredients for a fun cocktail on hand. we used the letter board to put the recipe on display for guests(tbh we never changed the recipe so the “drink of the month” is always moscow mules 😂). stay tuned for a MAJOR bar upgrade in the coming months... . . . . #howihome #cocktails #homestyle
as long as i can remember, i’ve wanted colorful cabinets. at first it was a dusty blue, then a navy, then sage, and finally teal. when we moved into the house i knew i wanted my first project to be one that really made a statement, but since we are on a budget i wasn’t sure what that was going to be. i knew i couldn’t get new counters or new cabinets so i am working with what we have for now! my mission is to keep this project affordable(under $300 ideally). so far I have spent about $30 in paint, and $15 on butcher block contact paper. my biggest expense here will be the backsplash tile, but we haven’t decided on which one we are going with. i can’t wait to share once it’s all done! #budgetdesign #diyhomedecor #mykindredabode #kitchengoals
